A unique opportunity for people interested in talking and writing about art to get together with two south west based art critics. Gabrielle Hoad and David Trigg will speak about their writing practice and answer questions from the group.
This evening is the first in a series of ongoing events, giving people the chance share ideas, network, discuss exhibitions and cultural trends. Participants will be given the opportunity to write reviews for inclusion on the Spacex website, as a potential step toward publication elsewhere. 

Gabrielle Hoad is an artist based in Exeter. She regards writing as integral to her creative practice. Her writing has appeared in a variety of publications including a-n magazine, Interface, Art Cornwall and TRACEY, the contemporary drawing research journal.  www.gabriellehoad.co.uk

David Trigg is an art writer based in Bristol. He is a member of the International Association of Art Critics and a regular contributor to Art Monthly, a-n, MAP, Art Papers and frieze.com. His writing has also been featured in Art Review, Untitled, Circa, Flash Art International and Metro. David has worked as Reviews Editor for Bristol arts publication Decode, as well as holding positions at Arnolfini, Bristol and the University of Bristol.
