200 Gertrude Street, founded in 1983, is a non profit contemporary art complex of gallery spaces and studio facilities. The organisation provides support to emerging artists through exhibitions, studio and associated cultural programs. 200 Gertrude Street aim is to evolve alongside the art and artists it supports, while providing a stimulating environment for contemporary art production, presentation, research and the exchange of ideas between artist and public. The association organises exhibition, cultural exchanges and professional development projects. It also administrates low-cost studios for artists and produces exhibition catalogues.
