LaRete Art Projects conceives and realizes exhibitions as well as educational and research programs in Italy and abroad. Connecting international professionals in the field of contemporary art dedicated to the research, development and consolidation of new artistic strategies, LaRete Art Projects fosters a dialogue between artists, curators, critics and a larger audience.
History: The non profit organization LaRete founded in Italy in 2004 is a follow-up to a project launched by Julia Draganovic in Germany in 1999: the Kulturbüro LaRete in Weimar.
The Kulturbüro LaRete is an informal network of freelance professionals dedicated to the arts – music, theatre, literature as well as visual arts. In the ten years of its existence Kulturbüro LaRete has conceived and realized countless projects including the cultural program of the Europäische Sommerakademie Weimar (commissioned by the Bauhaus Universität Weimar), European Studio Program (of the ACC Galerie and the municipality of Weimar), series of contemporary art shows with the title Coniugazioni (in collaboration with the Province of Modena, Thüringer Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kultur,  DIGIT Deutsch-Italienische Gesellschaft in Thüringen and Kuratorium Schloss Ettersburg), the Notti Italiani (in collaboration with DIGIT Deutsch-Italienische Gesellschaft in Thüringen and the Klassikstiftung Weimar), the Klezmer Wochen Weimar (in collaboration with Kuratorium Schloss Ettersburg) and Yiddish Summer Weimar. Stephanie Erben and Katrin Petlusch are today the protagonists of Kulturbüro LaRete which is working with various cultural institutions in Germany and abroad. See www.larete.de
The non-profit organization LaRete, registered in Modena, was founded in 2004 as a result of earlier collaboration projects between Kulturbüro LaRete and the Province of Modena. LaRete Art Projects, under its founding members Julia Draganovic and Claudia Löffelholz, launches a series of international cooperation projects in visual arts.
