In France, the programme NEW PATRONS has existed since 1993. Due to the great success of the programme, in 2000 curators began developing the programme with private and public support in Italy and Belgium, and several projects have been are being realized in Sweden, Finland, the UK and Spain.Currently, 24 mediators are working in eight European countries as regional contacts for interested residents. In future, interested mediators and supporters can develop together the NEW PATRONS programme in their region as well with the help of the European network. The aim: that the NEW PATRONS programme is available anywhere in Europe where residents want to execute their issue in art production.
